We are seeking an experienced QC/QA Manager to lead our Quality Control and Quality Assurance organization at our Burlington, NJ manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership position responsible for the overall Quality Management System, customer quality, ISO 9001, third-party certifications, continuous improvement, and development of the quality team.

Job Details

As the QC/QA Manager, you will lead the company's quality organization and be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure products consistently meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

This role will oversee ISO 9001, customer quality, internal and external audits, supplier quality, corrective and preventive actions, product certifications, quality documentation, calibration programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will also lead and develop QC/QA Supervisors and four QC Technicians while working closely with plant leadership to strengthen quality performance throughout the operation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for the manufacturing operation
  • Manage and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lead internal, customer, NSF, UL, and other third-party audits and certification activities
  • Lead customer quality meetings, corrective-action reviews, and quality performance discussions
  • Investigate customer complaints, product nonconformities, and internal quality issues
  • Conduct and oversee root cause analysis, CAPA, risk assessments, statistical analysis, and preventive quality initiatives
  • Partner with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement to improve product and process quality
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality processes and corrective-action programs
  • Establish and maintain inspection, testing, calibration, and measurement-control programs
  • Manage quality standards, specifications, procedures, testing methods, and document control
  • Develop and track quality KPIs, trends, costs, risks, and improvement plans
  • Prepare monthly quality reports and present results to senior management
  • Manage QC/QA departmental operating and capital budgets
  • Train, coach, and develop quality supervisors and technicians
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and quality excellence

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • 7-10+ years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5+ years of quality management/leadership experience
  • Strong experience managing ISO 9001
  • Experience leading customer, regulatory, or third-party quality audits
  • Strong root cause analysis, CAPA, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing and monitoring manufacturing quality KPIs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills
  • Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within plastics, polymer compounding, PVC compounding, chemical processing, or similar process manufacturing
  • Experience working within a Japanese manufacturing environment
  • NSF and/or UL certification experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • ASQ or similar quality certification
  • Strong understanding of supplier quality management and customer quality
  • Experience driving quality improvements within a highly structured manufacturing environment
