Application Product Owner / Product Manager
Location: Montpelier, VT - Remote with limited onsite time
Role Overview
The client seeking an Application Product Owner to support a Salesforce-based application used by them. This role will focus on system stabilization, managing and refining the existing Phase I backlog, and supporting future enhancements.
The Product Owner will act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring effective backlog management, Agile delivery, and alignment with business and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product vision and support ongoing system improvements
- Review, refine, and prioritize the existing backlog (epics, features, user stories)
- Translate business processes into clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Maintain backlog and track work in Azure DevOps
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Act as Scrum Master when required and remove blockers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on progress, risks, and timelines
- Support system stabilization, defect resolution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Develop and maintain product roadmap and release plans
- Create and maintain documentation including requirements, business rules, and RTM
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Expertise in backlog management, user story creation, and requirement gathering
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience using Azure DevOps
- Experience in regulatory or public sector environments
Technical Environment
Salesforce, Azure DevOps, Copado, API integrations, Test automation tools (e.g., Testim)
