Summary

Job Title: Color Design
Location: Playa Vista, California (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced design professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about the end-to-end management of color solutions for products. Our team values adaptability, process orientation, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver visually compelling results that align with brand direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute color designs, collaborating closely with design, product marketing, development, and material consultants to deliver innovative, retail-ready color solutions across a range of substrates.
  • Maintain color calendars, timelines, and deadlines for product categories or divisions, ensuring timely completion and effective coordination of product development milestones.
  • Research and deliver insights on color, design, market, and lifestyle trends, and leverage consumer and competitor data to drive creative direction and color strategies.
  • Clearly communicate color direction, present creative proposals to stakeholders, and contribute to the creation of presentation materials for internal audiences and seasonal planning.

Experience/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience. Alternatives: Master's degree with 4 years, PhD or Law with 3 years, Associate's degree with 6 years, or High School diploma with 7 years.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, and demonstrated ability to manage color processes in a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of color achievability and execution, with experience overseeing technical details and product execution from concept through sample review.
  • Demonstrated process orientation with the adaptability to respond to changing business needs; knowledge of textiles, materials, and technical design is highly valued.
