Infrastructure Solution Architect - Azure (Only Visa Independent Candidate/W2)

The Infrastructure Solution Architect will develop architecture diagrams, solution definitions, technology roadmaps, research documentation, and executive-level presentations. This role requires broad infrastructure expertise across virtualization, networking, compute, storage, public cloud, and private cloud environments.

This is a strategic architecture position rather than a purely hands-on infrastructure engineering role. The architect will provide technical leadership throughout solution ideation, design, review, and implementation while partnering closely with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, business leaders, vendors, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Create solution architecture designs and supporting documentation for enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop architecture diagrams, solution definitions, research notes, technology recommendations, roadmaps, and presentations.
• Design flexible and scalable solutions that account for changes across the broader enterprise technology environment.
• Architect solutions across VMware, compute, storage, networking, public cloud, and private cloud platforms.
• Apply cloud architecture patterns and best practices, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure experience.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards, security requirements, regulatory obligations, and strategic roadmaps.
• Design solutions for maximum availability, resiliency, monitoring, security, performance, and operational sustainability.
• Present architecture recommendations to technical teams, business stakeholders, senior leadership, and Architecture Review Boards.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and technical architects throughout solution ideation and design.
• Document the people, process, and technology components of proposed solutions using architecture modeling tools.
• Research emerging technologies, industry best practices, and market-leading infrastructure solutions.
• Recommend tools and technologies that improve scalability, operational efficiency, performance, and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technology costs and work with vendors to evaluate potential solutions and savings.
• Help establish and improve enterprise architecture standards, governance practices, documentation, and review processes.
