Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) Lead
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – Onsite 2–4x per month)
Duration: Contract
Must be willing to work in Pacific Time Zone and travel onsite as required.
They will be onsite 2-4x per month so if they live a bit outside of the Seattle area, that''s ok... they won''t be onsite every day.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on SAP TM Lead to drive the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (Embedded TM). This role focuses on transportation planning, execution, charge management, and seamless integration with SAP EWM within an S/4HANA landscape.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in embedded TM (2020 preferred), strong logistics network knowledge, and experience aligning SAP capabilities with operational business needs.
Top Required Skills (Must Have)
- SAP Transportation Management (TM) – 4+ years (Advanced level, strong hands-on configuration)
- SAP S/4HANA – 3–5 years (Embedded TM 2020 preferred)
- SAP EWM – 3–5 years (Strong TM–EWM integration experience)
- Experience with Logistics Business Network (LBN/BN4L) – Freight Collaboration & Global Track and Trace
- Strong understanding of Freight Order Management & Freight Settlement
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM)
- Configure Embedded TM (2020 preferred), including:
- Transportation Planning
- Execution
- Charge Management
- Freight Settlement
- Manage integration between SAP TM and SAP EWM
- Oversee Freight Order lifecycle management
- Utilize Logistics Business Network (LBN/BN4L) for:
- Freight Collaboration (FC)
- Global Track and Trace (GTT)
- Align transportation processes with operational business requirements
- Provide expertise in inbound transportation and logistics execution
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and senior leadership
Nice to Have
- Experience with inbound transportation processes
- SAP S/4HANA certifications
- Experience in CM&T industry environments
