As a Java Developer, you will be an individual contributor responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. This role involves ensuring software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. You will code solutions, create unit tests, and ensure successful integration into the overall application/system with clear and well-tested interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
- Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
- Participate in and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story or requirement.
- Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Utilize multiple architectural components in the design and development of client requirements.
- Assist the team with resolving technical complexities.
- Contribute to existing test suites, analyze test reports, and triage any underlying causes of issues.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, and support.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Experience with high-volume applications and server-side frameworks like Spring MVC.
- Proficiency with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA.
- Understanding of SOAP web services with XML and JSON.
- Experience building RESTful web services.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as Handlebars, Vue, and ReactJS.
- Familiarity with XML and JSON binding libraries (JAXB, Jackson, Gson).
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit.
- Proficiency with GIT, Maven, Artifactory, and an IDE such as Eclipse.
* Experience with GIT distributed version control, branching/merge strategies, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Familiarity with MQ (Websphere MQ or ActiveMQ) and performance tuning with an understanding of JVM internals.
- Experience with Groovy, object-oriented programming, and Java design patterns.
- Experience in distributed system development using Java/J2EE/Web Technologies.
- Knowledge of defensive programming and application security.
- Experience with Github/Copilot.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
* Exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse teams, including technical, business, and management personnel.
- Good interpersonal communication skills for technical and business conversations.
- Analytical skills to break down requirements and solve problems.
