Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead SDET/Automation Engineer to support a forecasting and MLOps team. This role focuses on demand forecasting for various retail channels and involves working with numerous data pipelines, feature creation, and model training. The position will contribute to data pipeline quality, backend software engineering, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for backend APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Develop test suites using Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
- Validate ETL/ELT pipeline output quality, including data accuracy, completeness, and schema adherence.
- Support AI/ML model output validation, including behavior testing and regression monitoring.
- Build and maintain integration and end-to-end test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and shift-left testing practices.
- Perform performance and load testing for high-volume retail transaction systems.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience in QA or software testing engineering.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in test automation (Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or similar).
- Experience testing REST APIs and backend microservices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
- Solid Python or Java scripting skills for test development.
- Understanding of data validation and pipeline testing concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data pipeline or ML model output validation.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform testing tooling and environments.
- Performance/load testing experience (k6, Locust, JMeter).
- Exposure to AI behavior testing or model regression monitoring.
