Job Description

- Technical Leadership: Lead technical design and implementation efforts for AD or Chassis systems, ensuring alignment with overall program goals and KPIT quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of System or Software engineers.
- Drive technical problem-solving, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Participate in architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- System Engineering: (Primary) Define and document system architectures for AD/Chassis components, considering functional safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO 21434), performance, and scalability.
- Develop system-level requirements based on customer specifications and automotive standards.
- Create and maintain system-level models (e.g., SysML, MATLAB/Simulink) for analysis and simulation.
- Perform trade-off studies to optimize system design choices.
- Interface definition & management (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
Validation & Verification: (Secondary)

- Develop comprehensive validation and verification plans (V&V) for AD/Chassis systems, covering all levels of testing (SIL, HIL, Vehicle).
- Define test cases and test procedures to ensure thorough coverage of system requirements.
- Oversee the execution of validation activities, analyzing results and reporting on system performance.
- Identify and track defects, working with development teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
Project Management & Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in customer meetings and present technical solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of KPIT's system engineering and validation processes.
Process Compliance

- Ensure adherence to KPIT's quality processes, including ASPICE and relevant automotive standards

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in automotive system engineering and validation. Minimum 5 years in a technical role.

- Expertise (Choose based on specialization - AD or Chassis):

- AD Focus: Deep understanding of ADAS functionalities (e.g., ACC, AEB, Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Assist). Experience with perception systems (Cameras, Radar, LiDAR), sensor fusion, path planning, and control algorithms. Knowledge of related standards (e.g., ISO 26262, SOTIF).

- Chassis Focus: Strong knowledge of chassis control systems (e.g., ABS, ESC, Traction Control, Suspension Control). Experience with vehicle dynamics, control algorithms, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
