Location: Davenport, IA
Salary: $38.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly
Description:
Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA
Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Key Responsibilities

Analyze data and perform root-cause investigations on welding issues
Develop and maintain routings, labor standards, layouts, tooling, costing, and control plans
Drive improvements in cost, quality, safety, and ergonomics
Use PDM, SAP, and Creo to support manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications

Education or experience in Welding Engineering or related field
Strong communication skills with union employees and cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of Creo, AutoCAD, or similar tools
Familiarity with manufacturing systems (SAP, Kotem, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

MPPlanner labor standards experience
Knowledge of weld processes, tooling, and facilities
Fanuc robotic welding programming/troubleshooting
Line design, material flow, and line balancing experience
Experience with Lincoln/Miller MIG equipment
Skilled trades collaboration and UAW contract knowledge

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (welding focus preferred) or equivalent experience
