About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Specialty Software Engineering Consultant to support complex, high-impact initiatives across cybersecurity, AI/ML, and enterprise engineering domains. In this role, you will analyze multifaceted technical challenges, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure programs meet cybersecurity, governance, and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with engineering, research, architecture, and risk teams to streamline decision-making, clarify requirements, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesProgram & Engineering Leadership- Review and assess complex, large-scale engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple technical and non-technical factors.
- Provide expert guidance on long-term Specialty Software Engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Partner strategically with client stakeholders to support program execution and resolve multi-layered technical issues.
Cross-Functional CoordinationServe as the central point of coordination across:
- Cybersecurity SMEs and Lead Cyber Research Consultant
- GenAI and ML engineering teams
- Full-stack engineering teams
- Enterprise architecture
- Risk, compliance, policy, and governance teams
- Platform, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
Ensure all groups have the required context, requirements, and decision clarity to deliver effectively.
Communication & Reporting- Prepare executive-level updates, dashboards, steering-committee materials, and risk/issue summaries.
- Facilitate discussions with senior technology leaders, cybersecurity executives, and AI governance stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, business-aligned communications.
Governance & Compliance- Ensure alignment with internal cybersecurity standards, AI-risk management controls, and model governance requirements.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and control gaps, and support mitigation planning.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent experience gained through professional roles, consulting, military service, or education.
