Position: HRIS Integrations Engineer (SAP CPI)

Client Location: West Coast, USA

Work Location: 100% Remote USA & Canada resources (Must work on MST Time Zone)

Duration: 4+ Months Contract

Purpose of the Position:

• Design, develop, and deploy complex HRIS integrations on SAP CPI including iFlows, Groovy scripting, Payroll ABAP, pointtopoint (BADI) extensions, and adapter configurations to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise integrations. Ensure production stability through proactive monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning; own endtoend integration quality via documentation, testing, and bestpractice enforcement.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

• Develop and Implement SAP Integrations: Design, develop, and deploy complex integration solutions using SAP CPI, including iFlows, Groovy scripts, Payroll ABAP development, Point to Point integration BADI s and adapter configurations. (~50% on design and enhancements).
• Troubleshoot and Debug Integration Issues: Analyse and resolve integration errors, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues. (~50% on production support, monitoring, L2 support).
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful integration deployments.
• Document Integration Solutions: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform Unit and Integration Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of integration solutions.
• Monitor and Maintain Integrations: Monitor integration performance, identify and address potential issues, and ensure the ongoing stability of the integration landscape.
• Implement Best Practices: Adhere to coding standards, development methodologies, and security guidelines.

Must Have Skills:

• At least 5-8 years handson expertise with SAP CPI: iFlows, Groovy scripting, adapter configuration, error handling, and deployment lifecycle.
• Experience with HRIS Payroll ABAP development and pointtopoint integration BADI extensions.
• Point to Point replication - HRIS replication experience.
• Proven track record of debugging complex integration issues and improving performance in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/IT or equivalent experience.
• SAP CPI and/or SAP Integration Suite certifications preferred.
• ABAP certification or equivalent handson expertise a plus.

Good-to-have:

• CI/CD for integrations (e.g., transport governance, version control), integration observability practices, and secure credentials management.
• Familiarity with common HR/Payroll data flows and downstream consumers (analytics, finance, compliance).
