Summary

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced forecasting and analytics professional to lead subscriber growth planning, retention forecasting, and revenue trend analysis for a fast-paced subscription business. This role will partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and BI teams to build scalable forecasting models, optimize customer acquisition investments, and support strategic business initiatives across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in subscriber analytics, cohort modeling, churn analysis, and scenario planning, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end subscriber forecasting activities including acquisition, retention, churn, and lifetime value (LTV) projections.
  • Build and maintain short-term and long-term forecasting models to support revenue planning and business growth initiatives.
  • Analyze subscriber behavior, retention cohorts, and churn patterns to identify business drivers and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, BI, and Data Science teams to align forecasting assumptions and business targets.
  • Evaluate the performance and impact of promotions, campaigns, partnerships, and platform initiatives on subscriber growth.
  • Develop forecasting scenarios for national and targeted promotional campaigns and measure incrementality against business goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs and improve forecasting accuracy across acquisition and retention channels.
  • Create platform-level performance forecasts and support marketing budget allocation using marketing mix modeling (MMM).
  • Deliver weekly and monthly forecasting updates, pacing reports, variance analysis, and performance insights to leadership teams.
  • Work with BI teams to automate dashboards, reporting workflows, and executive-level analytics.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve subscriber growth, retention performance, and marketing efficiency.
  • Support data-driven decision-making for mobile, web, and OTT subscription products.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in forecasting, business analytics, strategic planning, or subscriber analytics within subscription-based, digital media, or streaming businesses.
  • Strong experience with forecasting techniques, statistical modeling, scenario analysis, and trend forecasting.
  • Hands-on expertise in retention cohort analysis, churn modeling, and customer lifecycle analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Understanding of machine learning-driven user experiences, recommendation systems, and personalization strategies is preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-platform subscription products including mobile, web, and OTT environments
