Business Data Analyst

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Translate business needs and key performance indicators into data analysis, reports, and dashboards.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and prepare business requirement documents and reporting specifications.
• Present insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Analyze data related to policy lifecycle, claims, premiums, losses, exposure, reserves, and billing.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards using business intelligence tools.
• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Support regulatory, operational, and management reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze enterprise data.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on data quality, availability, and transformations.
• Perform data reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution.
• Document data definitions, business rules, and metrics.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong experience in the insurance domain.
• Understanding of policy lifecycle and claims processes.
• Experience with premiums, losses, reserves, exposure, and billing.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Experience:

• Experience working as a data analyst in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience in reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis.
• Experience with insurance platforms preferred.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
