Summary

Job Title: Intermediate IT Technical Business Analyst Software Asset Management
Location: Remote

Role Summary:

Support the development and implementation of governance and issue resolution processes for Software Asset Management and a new Certified Software List for End User Workstations serving 35,000+ users across multiple locations. Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to improve software workflows, ensure license compliance, establish standards, and enhance technical support processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement governance and issue resolution processes for Software Asset Management
Improve packaging/certification workflows, software practices, and break/fix processes
Architect new IT services, develop solution papers and test plans; evaluate current services and recommend remediation
Collaborate on proof of concept and production rollouts; provide quality control on implementations
Assess business requests for new services/technology and their operational impact
Develop project plans, schedules, task lists, and resource assignments for architectural deployments
Document technical recommendations; ensure change management processes are followed
Track and report time/status; leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and project delivery

Required Experience:

6+ years: Business analyst translating business requirements to technical requirements in enterprise IT
6+ years: Defining project scope/goals with business stakeholders
6+ years: Developing project deliverables (charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, dashboards)
6+ years: Project management role
6+ years: Managing multiple projects concurrently
6+ years: Implementing IT solutions with resources across multiple teams/organizations
6+ years: Written/verbal communications and drafting business/technical documentation
6+ years: Developing/maintaining stakeholder relationships across organizations, including executive level
6+ years: Leading change management and communication planning
5+ years: Facilitating business process development and re-engineering workshops
5+ years: Gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders including vendors and across departments
5+ years: Leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels
2+ years: Coordinating governance/issue resolution processes for Software Asset Management or Software Catalogue for End User Workstations in large-scale government-sized environments
2+ years: Coordinating IT infrastructure projects for provincial government (directly or as vendor support)

Education & Certifications:

Required: University degree in business, management, or related discipline
OR 6 years Project Coordinator experience

Other Mandatory Requirements:

Must provide own equipment: Modern Windows or MacOS computer compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Windows preferred.
Criminal record check (provided upon request before start date)
Completion of mandatory training: FOIP, Security Awareness
No travel/relocation expenses provided for onsite meetings
Max 3 submissions per supplier
