Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer (OCI)

Location: Remote (100%)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms. This role focuses on enabling development teams through robust infrastructure, automation, and platform services while ensuring high availability and performance in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on OCI
• Build and maintain reusable platform components and services
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and platform deployments
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams
• Enforce cloud security best practices, governance, and compliance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotations
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Architect Associate/Professional)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with SRE principles and practices
