Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our healthcare team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve greater independence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to providing quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient''''s needs, diagnosis, goals, and functional abilities.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, balance, cognition, and activities of daily living.
• Assist patients in developing or regaining skills needed for daily living, work, school, and community participation.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for continued progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings when required.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, facility, and professional standards.
• Follow appropriate safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and training.

Qualifications

• Master''''s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, if required by the facility.
• Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, home health, pediatric, or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and positive patient outcomes.
