  • Lead, monitor, and manage annual data submission processes to achieve and maintain NAACCR Gold Certification and CDC NPCR standards.
  • Oversee death clearance processes, including running death match programs, linking with hospital discharge data, reviewing and updating results, and adding death certificate only cases to the main database.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of reporting facilities with quarterly and annual data submission requirements; assist with tracking and remediation plans for delinquent facilities.
  • Run linkages with vital records, Take Charge (Oklahoma BCCEDP), Indian Health Services, SSDI, NDI, and other required sources.
  • Conduct data exchanges quarterly with bordering states and biannually with other state and territorial central cancer registries and the Cherokee Nation Cancer Registry.
  • Consolidate cases, review and correct sequence 90 and duplicate cases, assist with abstracting, casefinding, and clearing DCO cases as assigned.
  • Co-lead annual updates and maintenance of the OCCR Policy and Procedure Manual and the OCCR Cancer Data Reporting Manual.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, including oversight of registry operations education and training.
  • Serve as backup for Registry Program Manager and operations team lead, providing technical consultation and prioritizing team work to enhance registry operations and data flow.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on cancer registry data for the Center for Health Statistics, including review of requested data items for research requests.
  • Document communications with reporters and maintain professional relationships with reporting facility staff.
  • Attend at least 75% of webinars offered by NPCR and NAACCR annually, participate in relevant trainings, and complete necessary CE hours to maintain ODS-C certification.
  • Solve problems collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive, professional workplace culture.
WHAT YOU BRING
