Job Title - Business Continuity Manager (BCM / Resilience)
Location - Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Position Summary
One of our financial services clients is currently looking to hire a Business Continuity Manager with hands on experience with OSFI E-21 and work with Operational Resiliency.
The Business Continuity Planner supports the design, execution, and ongoing maintenance of the organizations Canada's Business Continuity Management (BCM) and operational resilience program. This role partners with business, operations, technology, and corporate functions to ensure critical services can withstand and recover from disruptions, meet internal standards, and align with applicable regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the BCM framework, policies, standards, procedures, and playbooks for the bank.
Lead and coordinate Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), including critical process mapping, dependency identification, recovery assumptions, and validation of criticality.
Support development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Crisis Management / Incident Response supporting documentation, ensuring plans are practical, current, and tested.
Facilitate and document testing and exercises (tabletops, simulations, call trees), including scenario design, coordination, issue logging, and post-exercise lessons learned.
Track and drive remediation of BCM gaps and findings, including corrective action plans, ownership, target dates, and evidence completion.
Partner with Technology / IT to align business continuity requirements with IT disaster recovery (DR) capabilities, recovery metrics, and change management.
Provide guidance to business stakeholders on recovery strategies, continuity controls, and resilience requirements for people, process, technology, and third parties.
Support third-party / vendor resilience activities (e.g., dependency mapping, continuity evidence reviews, risk assessments) in partnership with Vendor Risk / Procurement.
Produce program reporting and metrics for senior management and governance forums (e.g., testing completion, plan currency, key risks, issues aged).
Contribute to audit and regulatory readiness by maintaining documentation, responding to requests, and supporting walkthroughs and reviews.

Required Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, Operational Risk, or related risk/control disciplines, ideally in financial services.
Hands-on experience leading BIAs, writing/updating BCPs, and coordinating testing/exercises.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to translate complex processes into clear, actionable plans.
Strong stakeholder management skills; able to influence across functions and levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfort building dashboards/metrics
