Consolidated Job Description – PC Refresh, Imaging & Deployment

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced IT professionals to support an onsite PC refresh project involving computer imaging, workstation deployment, device validation, and legacy equipment removal and handover.

Candidates should have practical experience in desktop/laptop installation, Windows operating system configuration, PC imaging, hardware troubleshooting, and asset tracking. The selected resources will work onsite to prepare and deploy new workstations, verify device functionality, maintain accurate deployment records, and support the collection and relinquishment of replaced equipment.

Candidates with technical leadership and onsite coordination experience will be considered for the Technical Lead position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PC imaging and reimaging using client-provided images and deployment tools.
• Install and configure Windows desktop operating systems and required software.
• Deploy new desktop computers and monitors at designated user workstations.
• Connect and configure monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, and other peripherals as required.
• Verify successful device startup, user login, profile configuration, and Windows 11 readiness.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, peripheral, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Validate deployed devices and confirm that they are functioning correctly.
• Maintain accurate device inventory records, including serial numbers, asset tags, deployment status, and device locations.
• Support PC refresh, workstation replacement, and bulk deployment activities.
• Remove and collect legacy desktops and monitors from deployment locations.
• Maintain equipment handover records and documented chain-of-custody information.
• Follow client procedures, IT security policies, building access requirements, and deployment checklists.
• Document completed work and escalate technical issues that cannot be resolved independently.
• For the Technical Lead role, coordinate onsite technicians, track deployment progress, communicate with client stakeholders, and act as the primary onsite technical point of contact throughout deployment.

Core technical skills:

• Windows 10/11 operating system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• PC imaging, reimaging, and enterprise image management.
• Microsoft SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
• Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for endpoint provisioning and deployment.
• Desktop and laptop hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Windows image testing, validation, driver installation, and application deployment.
• Software installation, application packaging, and deployment validation.
• PowerShell scripting and automation for deployment and configuration tasks.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, device readiness checks, and post-deployment support.
• Desktop/laptop refresh, workstation replacement, and enterprise migration experience.
• Asset tagging, serial number tracking, inventory documentation, and deployment status reporting.
• Legacy desktop and monitor collection, equipment handover, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Technical documentation, issue tracking, escalation, and coordination with onsite teams.
