QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a dedicated QA Automation Contractor to develop and execute comprehensive regression and test cases for Full Quality Assurance of the PDK Deck before release. This is a contractor position focused on solving a critical operational challenge: the process and data management required to generate, organize, and validate large volumes of test data.

The Challenge

Our current gap is NOT with creating Evaluation Cells or layout regression itself. It is with:

• Data management and filesystem organization for large volumes of generated test data
• Language processing and data parsing
• CI/CD pipeline automation (Jenkins, Kubernetes)
• Test orchestration and result tracking
• gdsfactory and layout autogeneration workflows

We need someone who can build robust processes and infrastructure to manage QA workflows efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• EDA Automation and test framework development
• Strong scripting and software development background
• Experience with large-scale data management and filesystem organization
• Data parsing and language processing (structured and unstructured data)
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins and/or Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in at least one: Python, C/C++, or SKILL

Preferred Languages

• Python (preferred for scripting and data processing)
• C/C++ (for performance-critical components)
• SKILL (Cadence)

• SVRF (Calibre)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gdsfactory or similar layout autogeneration tools
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes container orchestration
• Experience with other EDA tools (additional CAD/design automation familiarity is a plus)
• Background in semiconductor or microelectronics QA/testing
