Job Description

If you are Lead Engineering and Development Engineer, looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Xi'an, you will responsible for the specification, design and development of embedded SW projects. Document the embedded SW in Software Requirement Specifications, design and implement the embedded SW using modern development tools and document/test the embedded SW and interfaces.

AS LEAD ENGINEERING AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Interact with and take the direction from engineering group of Transportation Solutions.
  • Accomplish specific SW deliverables in new product development, sustaining engineering, quality projects and cost reduction projects.
  • Be responsible that the functionalities of products are designed to specification.
  • Participate in both HW and SW test disciplines.
  • Concurrent interaction with hardware, software and QA teams to improve product quality.
  • Actively participate in design discussions and reviews.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
  • Education/Training
    • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience (minimum required)
    • Language experience - 8+ years C and C++ required
    • Experience in Objective Oriented SW Development required.
    • Experience with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) including semaphores, queues, multi-threading, sockets, etc.
    • Experience with embedded electronic circuits and how these are programmed/interfaced in microcontrollers.
    • Working knowledge of communications protocols is required.
    • Experience with IAR, Keil, Eclipse required.
    • HVAC knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills
    • Experience with large-scale projects preferred.
    • Experience with wireless communication, power-line communication and/or GPS technologies preferred.
    • Development experience with Microsoft MFC, .NET, C# preferred.
    • Good skills at Git, Jira preferred.
    • Good English language skills both written and verbal.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good learning ability.
    • Good team player.
    • Good working attitude.
