Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Writer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Newark, DE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will focus on the complete rebuild and redesign of all enterprise-level documentation from scratch, including procedures, user guides, and training materials. The Technical Writer will also be responsible for migrating all customer-facing content from SharePoint to Confluence, building a fully structured and intuitive documentation library while collaborating closely with subject matter experts.
Responsibilities: - Focus on the complete rebuild/redesign of all documentation from scratch including Procedures, User Guides, and Training docs
- Migrate all customer facing content from SharePoint into Confluence
- Create clear, concise procedural docs, job aids, and training materials
- Build a fully structured Confluence documentation library that includes intuitive page hierarchies, templates, navigation, labeling, and content organization best practices
- Work within existing Confluence spaces, standardizing page layouts, improving searchability, and ensuring documentation is easy for teams to consume and maintain
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and validate technical information, ensuring that all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with updated documentation standards
- Deliver fully rewritten procedure and user documentation
- Create new Confluence pages and an organized documentation library
- Develop mixed-media training and onboarding materials (quick starts, how-tos, reference sheets)
Requirements: - 5+ years technical writing experience
- Strong ability to simplify and structure complex processes
- Expert in Microsoft Word and Confluence
- Familiarity with SharePoint pages, lists, and document libraries
- Experience with documentation redesign, cleanup, or migration is highly preferred
- Excellent interviewing, organization, and content-structuring skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality content quickly
Desired skills: - Familiarity with technical Business Continuity & Operational Resiliency concepts
- Understanding of relationship between, and flow from Policy, Standards, Process, & Procedures
Pay range: $78.03 - $86.03 per hour
