Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled programmer with expertise in Mainframe environments and Java development to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications. The role involves integrating legacy mainframe systems with modern Java-based solutions to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, or other relevant mainframe technologies.
• Design and implement Java applications and services for system integration and modernization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both mainframe and Java applications.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and documentation efforts.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in mainframe programming languages (e.g., COBOL, JCL, CICS).
• Strong Java programming skills (Core Java, Java EE).
• Experience with integrating mainframe systems and Java applications.
• Knowledge of databases like DB2 and SQL.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
