Lead QA Tester with Medicaid/MMIS

Job Role : Testing Lead (MMIS)

Location : Pierre, SD (Fully ONSITE)

Duration : 12 months (extendable up to 2 years)

Overview:

Hiring a Testing Lead to support the Medical Services Division. This role focuses on testing and validation of Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Coordinate testing activities with IT teams and project leads
• Track test results, defects, and remediation efforts
• Support projects driven by federal regulations, state mandates, and policy updates
• Analyze system impacts across integrated applications
• Prepare documentation and testing reports
• Facilitate meetings and communicate findings with stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• MMIS (Medicaid) experience Mandatory
• Strong background in testing/QA and test management
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
• Experience working in regulatory or compliance-driven environments
• Ability to work independently and within teams

Scope of Work

Client is seeking a qualified individual to create test case scenarios and conduct testing on the business side and with key stakeholders with respect to enhanced or developed Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). Experience with MMIS is required. Activities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate testing efforts with system project leads and the Department s IT team.
• Create and document comprehensive test scenarios while understanding system impacts to all relational systems and programs.
• Conduct testing scenarios within various systems, review and track results, and assist in remediation.
• Maintain knowledge about various business areas supported including their processes, dynamics, and touch points with other business areas.
• Manage or participate in program research and analysis; planning and development, and implementation processes related to projects resulting from federal rule, state mandated changes, and policy updates.

Proposals to Work Orders will be reviewed for ability to meet the State needs and there is no guarantee of award.
