Job Description:
Pay Range: $50hr - $55hr
  • The Lead Performance Testing Engineer will lead performance engineering initiatives in an Agile environment, ensuring application scalability, stability, and reliability.
  • This role involves defining performance testing strategies, implementing modern testing frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.
  • The candidate will also guide performance testing teams, analyze results, and recommend improvements to ensure high-performing applications and services.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead performance testing engineering efforts in a dynamic Agile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with client stakeholders and manage expectations within a multi-vendor shared service environment.
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore teams while managing demand forecasting and project pipelines.
  • Drive modernization of performance engineering processes using AI-assisted tools and automation practices.
  • Develop performance testing strategies and detailed approaches in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Define guidelines, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives for performance engineering practices.
  • Create detailed workload models for average, peak, stress, and scalability scenarios based on production usage patterns.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment gating processes to monitor performance baselines and detect degradation.
  • Design, execute, and analyze performance testing scripts for web applications, APIs, and databases.
  • Work with cloud-based implementations and performance testing within cloud environments.
  • Monitor and analyze application behavior under load conditions using application performance monitoring tools.
  • Build custom dashboards to visualize performance metrics and system behavior.
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and log analysis platforms.
  • Prepare clear and concise performance test reports with key findings, metrics, and recommendations.
  • Ensure knowledge and implementation of performance optimization techniques including caching and compression.
  • Support performance-related security considerations such as secure protocols and configuration validation.
  • Lead global teams to ensure successful delivery of performance testing outcomes.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Extensive experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
  • Hands-on expertise in scripting performance test cases using Apache JMeter.
  • Experience working with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services.
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies and protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP/IP.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate across distributed global teams.
Should Have:
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer.
  • Experience with log analysis and visualization tools such as Elastic Stack, Kibana, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of operational acceptance testing including failover, disaster recovery validation, and reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering practices and chaos testing methodologies.
Skills:
  • Strong performance engineering and load testing expertise.
  • Ability to design workload models and analyze performance results.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
Qualification And Education:
  • Extensive professional experience in performance testing and engineering.
  • Proven experience analyzing performance results and providing optimization recommendations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with performance testing and monitoring tools.
