The Scrum Master Associate leads agile delivery and continuous improvement across four key areas: Organizational Effectiveness (Engaged Teams), Customer Value (Building the right things), Quality (Working Product), and Team Effectiveness (Deliver Predictably). This role is accountable for facilitating advanced Agile ceremonies, driving backlog refinement, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Scrum Master proactively removes complex impediments, mentors teams, and supports the successful launch and scaling of products and services. This position is expected to influence team performance and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Your Responsibilities
- Drives Agile values, principles, and practices across multiple teams.
- Conducts journey mapping sessions, defines ready/done, and leads advanced Agile ceremonies.
- Overseeing backlog refinement, intake, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
- Identifies and implements process improvements using data-driven insights.
- Proactively removes barriers at the team and organizational levels.
- Manages business case documentation, requirements summaries, and portfolio alignment.
- Ensures Agile Life Cycle compliance at scale, supporting organizational Agile maturity.
- Trains, mentors, and develops Agile teams and Associate Scrum Masters.
- Prepares and presents value and improvement reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Accountable for larger, cross-functional teams and products with moderate complexity.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy.
- Manage an adaptable work schedule that may require flexible hours and cross-team collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' related experience or Bachelor's degree. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions
- Utilize data to help tell a story

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills

- High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of Agile Team experience or in role experience
- Exposure to Agile backlog management & planning tools from Atlassian (Jira) and/or Mural
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Automation tools
- Knowledge of integrations between Jira and ITIL tools such as ServiceNow or Team Dynamix
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and independently solving problems
- One of the following certifications: Certified scrum master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe or LeSS
