SENIOR MULESOFT INTEGRATION ENGINEER Full-Time | Dallas, TX | On-Site | $125,000–$135,000 + Bonus

About Our Client

Our client is a privately held healthcare technology company founded in 2018 and headquartered in Dallas, TX. They are developing breakthrough treatments for venous diseases and lymphedema, building innovative, patient-centric technologies that improve mobility, enable personalized care, and empower self-care at home. A fast-paced, mission-driven team, they value integrity, humility, hard work, camaraderie, and fun — and they back that up with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Job Description

This is a hands-on technical leadership role sitting within the IT department and reporting directly to the Director of IT. You''ll own the design, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform — spanning modern API-led, event-driven, and AI-enabled architectures. If you''re the kind of engineer who wants to build the foundation, not just maintain it, this role was made for you.

Day-to-day you''ll collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions across a modern SaaS stack including Salesforce, NetSuite, Rippling, Sophos, and Arena. You''ll also play a key role in building out OCR capabilities leveraging MuleSoft IDP''s AI features — this is not a purely maintenance-mode position. There is real greenfield work here.

Beyond the technical build, you''ll provide mentorship to developers on the team, conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure the platform is performant, secure, and compliant with HIPAA and SOX standards. You''ll also evaluate and adopt emerging MuleSoft AI capabilities as they become relevant to the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and govern enterprise integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including API-led, event-driven, and AI-enabled architectures
  • Architect and develop System, Process, and Experience APIs
  • Design and implement integrations with Salesforce, NetSuite, Rippling, Sophos, Arena, and other critical SaaS and legacy systems
  • Build OCR capabilities and integrations leveraging MuleSoft IDP and its AI features
  • Perform code reviews and enforce integration best practices across the team
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting
  • Ensure secure credential management, encryption, and adherence to HIPAA and SOX compliance standards
  • Evaluate and adopt MuleSoft AI capabilities to address key business needs
  • Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across the integration team
  • Establish a scalable MuleSoft platform foundation to support future company growth
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet performance and security standards

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4+ years of integration experience with APIs and microservices
  • 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft experience — non-negotiable
  • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP, RAML, and API-led connectivity
  • Experience with DevOps, GitHub/Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and SaaS integrations (Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and SOX compliance standards
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Strong communication skills — you''ll work across business and technical audiences

Nice-to-Haves

  • MuleSoft Developer or Architect certification
  • Working knowledge of MuleSoft IDP
  • Experience with Postman, Jira, or prompt engineering
  • Background in healthcare technology or a similarly regulated industry

Education

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or a related field required.

Pay & Benefits

  • Base salary: $125,000–$135,000
  • Performance bonus
  • Competitive benefits package including health coverage
  • Full-time, exempt position
  • On-site in Dallas, TX
