Responsibilities:
Cutover Planning and Strategy
Develop and maintain the comprehensive cutover plan covering all activities, timelines, dependencies, and responsibilities required for go-live
Define cutover strategy across technical, business, and data migration workstreams
Coordinate with program leadership, architecture, data, and functional teams to ensure alignment on cutover activities
Go-Live Readiness
Conduct cutover readiness assessments to confirm systems, data, teams, and processes are prepared for deployment
Identify dependencies, risks, and cross-team impacts related to the transition
Ensure prerequisites such as data migration, system configurations, integrations, and operational readiness are completed prior to go-live
Cutover Rehearsals and Execution
Plan and lead cutover dress rehearsals/mock cutovers to simulate the full go-live process
Refine the cutover plan based on rehearsal outcomes and stakeholder feedback
Oversee execution of the final cutover event, coordinating activities across multiple teams to ensure timelines are met
Stakeholder Coordination and Communication
Communicate cutover schedules, status updates, risks, and issues to program leadership and stakeholders
Manage cross-functional dependencies between technical teams, business teams, data teams, and vendors
Ensure all teams are aligned on cutover timelines, expectations, and responsibilities
Issue and Risk Management
Identify and proactively address risks or blockers that may impact cutover timelines
Manage cross-team issue resolution during deployment
Adjust cutover plans as needed based on program progress and readiness
Post-Go-Live Stabilization
Ensure completion of post-cutover validation activities including system checks, business validation, and operational readiness
Support the transition into hypercare/stabilization following go-live
Track and communicate post-deployment issues and resolution progress
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise system implementations
Direct experience leading cutover planning and execution for SAP implementations
Strong understanding of SAP deployment and release processes
Experience coordinating complex deployments involving multiple workstreams (technical, data, integrations, business)
Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage high-pressure go-live environments with tight timelines
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
Experience with enterprise deployment tooling or cutover management platforms
Experience in highly regulated or global enterprise environments
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $165,000 or the hourly equivalent.
