Job#: 3034218 Job Description: CAD Designer IV (Level IV) - Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced CAD Designer IV to support advanced design and drafting efforts. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings and models while collaborating closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Create, update, and maintain sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using CAD software
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models to support engineering and design initiatives
- Interpret and apply customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications to design outputs
- Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for design packages
- Ensure designs align with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements
- Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to refine and validate designs
- Apply industry-standard drafting techniques and engineering terminology in all deliverables
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in CAD design or drafting (Level IV)
- Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, or similar)
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute complex engineering drawings and blueprints
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts, drafting principles, and technical standards
- Experience working with detailed specifications and technical requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with client-specific design applications or systems
- Background supporting engineering teams in industries such as utilities, infrastructure, or manufacturing
- Exposure to documentation control or design lifecycle processes
