Summary

Role: Senior/Lead CA Gen Engineer Mainframe Modernization
Location: Remote
Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Job Description

One important clarification: we are not simply looking for a COBOL Developer or Mainframe Engineer. The key qualification for this position is hands-on experience modernizing and migrating CA Gen-built applications running on Mainframe platforms to modern technology stacks such as Java or .NET in cloud environments.

Candidates should have experience with CA Gen (Broadcom Gen / COOL:Gen / CoolGen) modernization initiatives, including reverse engineering legacy applications, understanding generated COBOL code, documenting business logic, and supporting migrations to modern platforms. Experience with any cloud provider is relevant, although AWS is preferred.
