Job Description:

Role Summary

We are building a next-generation insurance platform, including a greenfield Policy Administration System (PAS) using a microservices and API-first architecture on Microsoft .NET.
The AI Architect will design and implement AI/ML solutions for underwriting, pricing, claims, fraud detection, and operations, ensuring scalable, secure, and production-ready AI systems aligned with insurance business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI/ML architecture including data pipelines, model development, MLOps, and model serving.
• Develop AI-powered capabilities for underwriting decision support, risk scoring, claims automation, fraud detection, and pricing optimization.
• Build API-based AI services integrated with microservices and event-driven systems.
• Implement MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and drift detection.
• Ensure responsible AI practices, including explainability, bias mitigation, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with product, actuarial, underwriting, engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver production AI solutions.
• Mentor ML engineers and drive AI best practices and standards across teams.

Must-Have Skills

• Insurance domain experience (mandatory) preferably P&C (Property & Casualty).
• AI/ML architecture and engineering experience (4+ years) with end-to-end model lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in Azure AI ecosystem (Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services).
• Experience building MLOps pipelines, model monitoring, and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of API-first architecture, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event streaming (Kafka / Event Hubs) and real-time inference.
• Familiarity with PAS workflows in P&C insurance.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI frameworks and interpretable ML.
• Azure certifications (AI Engineer / Solutions Architect).
