Job Title: Expert Solution Architect – Solution Design

Location: Quincy, MA or Princeton, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days/Week) Locals Need


Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Target State Design

• Develop Target State Architecture (TSA) documents for cloud migration initiatives.

• Conduct application discovery, dependency mapping, and infrastructure assessments.

• Design cloud migration strategies, migration waves, and high-level roadmaps.

• Create logical and physical architecture diagrams, network layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Cloud Migration & Modernization

• Lead migration of enterprise applications and infrastructure to AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Design migration strategies for IaaS and PaaS workloads.

• Plan and execute application, database, storage, and server migrations.

• Develop migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and Hypercare support.

• Support application modernization, re-platforming, and cloud optimization initiatives.

Cloud Platform Services

• Architect and deploy AWS and Azure services including:

• EC2, AMI

• Azure Virtual Machines

• RDS / Azure SQL

• App Services

• Azure Functions

• API Gateway

• Service Bus

• Managed Storage

• ECS, EKS, AKS, App Service Containers

• Configure networking, Active Directory integration, disaster recovery, and cloud connectivity.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & DevOps

• Provision cloud infrastructure using:

• Terraform

• AWS CloudFormation

• Azure Bicep

• Harness

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud deployments.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code best practices and automation.

Security & Governance

• Implement enterprise security controls and governance standards.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security validation including:

• SAST

• DAST

• SCA

• Container Security Scanning

• IaC Security Scanning

• Support authentication, authorization, SSO integration, encryption, and Customer Managed Keys (CMK).

• Participate in architecture governance and technical review boards.

Database & Platform Migration

• Lead database migration activities including schema conversion, data migration, reconciliation, and validation.

• Support migration of file systems and applications to managed cloud platforms.

• Containerize applications and deploy to Kubernetes-based managed services.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience.

• Strong expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

• Experience designing enterprise cloud migration strategies.

• Hands-on experience with:

• Terraform

• CloudFormation

• Azure Bicep

• Harness

• Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, and disaster recovery.

• Experience with container platforms:

• ECS

• EKS

• AKS

• App Service Containers

• Experience with database migration and modernization.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience with security, governance, compliance, and cloud architecture best practices.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification.

• Experience working in Financial Services or other highly regulated industries.

• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

• Experience supporting AI/ML-enabled cloud migration initiatives.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, SSO, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
