Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Analyst who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. The ideal candidate will be able to understand business needs, translate them into clear technical specifications, and analyze the client s core system to identify relevant fields, data elements, and system information required to support business and technology solutions.
The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business requirements, processes, and functional needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements.
Create clear and comprehensive technical specifications, functional specifications, data mappings, and technical documentation.
Analyze the client s core system to understand available data, fields, attributes, relationships, and system functionality.
Identify the appropriate fields/data elements required to support business requirements and downstream applications or reports.
Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify gaps, and document business rules.
Collaborate with developers and technical teams to explain requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
Perform data and system analysis to validate that required information is available and can be extracted from CLIENT S.
Create field-level mappings between business requirements and technical/system data.
Review existing system functionality and identify opportunities, gaps, dependencies, and potential impacts of proposed changes.
Support developers and QA teams by providing technical clarification and acceptance criteria.
Participate in requirements gathering, solution discussions, testing, defect analysis, and implementation activities.
Validate technical solutions against the original business requirements.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure specifications remain current.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Experience working with core business systems and understanding system data structures.
Hands-on experience analyzing system fields, data elements, tables, interfaces, or APIs.
Ability to determine what data/fields need to be pulled from a core system to satisfy a business requirement.
Strong understanding of data mapping, data flows, and system integrations.
Experience working with SQL for data investigation and validation.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, data models, APIs, and system interfaces.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent.
