Role Overview

The Card Payment team is responsible for building enhanced capabilities for card issuing and processing within cloud-based Accounts Payables and Receivables platforms.
You will collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and architects to:
- Build and scale card payment solutions
- Enable seamless payment experiences (rapid to instant payouts)
- Design next-generation payment capabilities
- Drive innovation and new revenue streams in card issuing
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable payment systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
- Build highly reliable, low-latency payment systems and APIs
- Implement secure, compliant, and fraud-resistant payment solutions
- Develop integrations with third-party payment providers
- Build data pipelines, data lakes, and AI/ML-driven payment analytics
- Monitor systems with logging, tracing, and alerting tools
- Troubleshoot issues in live production environments
- Automate deployment, testing, and infrastructure (IaC)
- Collaborate with product and business teams
- Drive innovation using cloud, containers, Kafka, and AI/ML
- Mentor junior engineers and take ownership of critical systems
- Promote best practices in scalability, security, and reliability
- Provide technical leadership and participate in code reviews
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs, messaging systems, CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway)
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills in development and production environments
- Experience with payment systems, PCI compliance, security, encryption (preferred)
- Exposure to AI/ML models and applications
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Master s degree preferred
