Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to support the Engineering & Construction (E&C) business unit, focusing on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role involves managing and coordinating multiple projects across various stages from early development through pre-construction ensuring alignment across technical, financial, and regulatory aspects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, Estimating, Scheduling, and Construction
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different lifecycle stages
  • Drive project schedules by aligning resources and priorities across matrixed teams
  • Coordinate environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, interconnection, and permitting activities
  • Define and develop technical project scope and requirements
  • Optimize project variables to enhance technical feasibility and financial performance
  • Support Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Grid Interconnection Agreement (GIA) negotiations
  • Collaborate with engineering and estimating teams for design and cost modeling
  • Develop, manage, and present financial models for executive approvals
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts (EPC, engineering, geotechnical, survey, etc.)
  • Track key project metrics, risks, and deliverables using project management tools
  • Lead status reporting, stakeholder communication, and executive presentations
  • Ensure seamless transition of projects to Construction Project Managers
  • Identify and implement process improvements for scalability and efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6 10 years of experience in Project Management within Engineering & Construction or Energy sector
  • Strong experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills in matrixed environments
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with project financial modeling
  • Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with renewable energy, electricity markets, or battery storage (BESS)
  • Knowledge of PPA and GIA agreements
  • PMP Certification (preferred)
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects
