Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – IT Compliance & Governance
Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $45–$54/hour (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years of experience) with strong expertise in IT compliance, governance, and analytics to support IT Hygiene tracking, reporting, and policy improvement initiatives.
This role is highly analytical and strategic, focused on ensuring compliance with IT Hygiene standards, improving data integrity, and enabling executive visibility through structured reporting and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally with senior leadership, product teams, and engineering partners to translate data insights into actionable compliance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance tracking for IT Hygiene standards and organizational policies.
- Identify, define, and monitor key IT Hygiene metrics aligned with compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain reports to track IT Hygiene metrics and performance.
- Prepare monthly compliance reports and executive-level dashboards.
- Analyze data to identify trends, particularly areas of non-compliance or performance gaps.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on trend analysis and implement remediation plans through structured tracking mechanisms.
- Identify and recommend policy and process improvements to strengthen governance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Directors, Product Managers, and Product Engineers to understand policy requirements and IT hygiene needs.
- Establish governance standards for data tracking, reporting accuracy, and metric ownership.
Example of IT Data Hygiene Work
Problem:
Inconsistent or conflicting data reported across systems for the same metric.
Approach / Solution:
- Investigate discrepancies and validate data against source systems of record.
- Partner with relevant teams to correct data inconsistencies.
- Define and implement data standards and governance policies.
- Establish documentation, timelines, and ownership for data correction.
- Implement tracking mechanisms to ensure ongoing compliance and data accuracy.
Required Skills & Tools
- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, IT Compliance, Governance, or related functions.
- Strong experience with:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data inconsistencies, trends, and root causes.
- Experience in IT compliance and governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to translate analysis into strategic action plans and measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI and Confluence.
- Experience building executive dashboards and compliance scorecards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Experience establishing governance standards and sustainable reporting models within large enterprises.
