ServiceNow UI Developer with Lit.js

We are seeking a forward-thinking ServiceNow Developer to join our team. Unlike a traditional back-end admin, you will focus on the Next Experience (Polaris) UI, leveraging Lit.js and the ServiceNow Seismic Framework to build modern, reactive, and highly performant web components. You will bridge the gap between powerful platform automation and a world-class user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Component Development: Design and develop reusable UI components using Lit (formerly LitElement) within the ServiceNow Seismic framework.
• Workspace Innovation: Build and configure advanced Workspaces and Dashboards using UI Builder (UIB).
• Full-Stack Integration: Connect custom front-end components to ServiceNow back-ends via Data Resources, Transform Functions, and REST APIs.
• Modernization: Assist in migrating legacy Service Portal (AngularJS) widgets to modern Web Components.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure all UI components are lightweight, responsive, and follow ServiceNow’s best practices for the Shadow DOM.

Technical Qualifications

ServiceNow Core: 3+ years of experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and Client Scripts.

Modern JavaScript: Expert-level proficiency in ES6+ (Classes, Promises, Modules).

Web Components: Hands-on experience with Lit.js (or similar libraries like Stencil or Polymer) and a deep understanding of the Shadow DOM.

Tooling: Experience with the ServiceNow CLI for component deployment and version control (Git).

Styling: Proficiency in CSS/SCSS, specifically handling scoped styles within web components.

Preferred Plus Skills

• Experience with the ServiceNow Design System (SNDS).
• Knowledge of GraphQL within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM or CSM.
