Role Overview
This position is for a SWIFT technologist within the development team, collaborating with production support and project partners. The role involves developing and delivering complex requirements to achieve business goals. The core responsibility is to ensure that SWIFT-provided software is installed, configured, and supported to meet all functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the various services provided by the SWIFT network.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to story refinement and the definition of requirements.
- Participate in and guide the team in estimating the work needed to complete a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform proof-of-concept work as necessary to mitigate risks or implement new ideas.
- Implement solutions and perform unit testing to deliver on requirements according to defined acceptance criteria.
- Document and communicate information required for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Contribute to existing test suites, including integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Analyze test reports, identify any issues or errors, and triage the underlying cause.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5-10 years of experience in the technology industry.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience installing, patching, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing SWIFT products, including SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, and SWIFT Net Link.
- 3+ years of experience with applications running on AIX or Linux operating systems.
- 3+ years of experience managing the completion of application-related documentation to meet risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- 1+ years of experience with Agile project delivery.
Technical Skills:- Demonstrated knowledge of all SWIFT messaging formats and protocols.
- Primary skills in SWIFT, with secondary skills in Python and Core Java.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including visual presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Alliance Messaging Hub (AMH).
- A good understanding of the SDLC lifecycle.
- Experience with SWIFT Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Experience with infrastructure upgrade or replacement projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment format.
- Knowledge of emerging payment formats such as US RTP, SEPA Instant, or FedNow.
