Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Google Tag Manager Specialist to design, implement, and manage tracking solutions across digital platforms. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, enabling actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making across marketing, product, and analytics teams.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in GTM, Google Analytics (GA4), and digital tracking architecture with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Tag Management & Implementation
- Design, implement, and manage GTM containers, tags, triggers, and variables
- Deploy tracking for web and mobile applications (e.g., GA4, ad pixels, conversion tracking)
- Define and maintain data layer architecture for scalable tracking solutions
Tracking & Analytics
- Implement tracking for user behavior such as clicks, form submissions, and conversions
- Ensure accurate and complete data capture across digital properties
- Integrate GTM with analytics and marketing platforms (GA4, Google Ads, Meta, etc.)
Testing, Debugging & Validation
- Conduct testing using GTM Preview Mode, Tag Assistant, and debugging tools
- Identify and resolve tracking issues, inconsistencies, and data discrepancies
- Validate analytics data accuracy against expected user behavior
Optimization & Governance
- Optimize tagging strategies to improve site performance and minimize load impact
- Maintain documentation of tagging architecture, naming conventions, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and consent management frameworks
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams to gather tracking requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical tracking solutions
- Provide guidance and training on tagging and analytics best practices
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze tracking data to generate insights that inform marketing and business decisions
- Support reporting, dashboards, and KPI measurement
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM) (tags, triggers, variables, containers)
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and event tracking
- Knowledge of data layer implementation and tagging architecture
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and debugging tools
- Experience with marketing/advertising tools (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn, etc.)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in GTM, web analytics, or digital tracking roles
- Certifications in Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager are preferred
Preferred Experience
- Experience with server-side tagging (Server GTM)
- Exposure to consent management tools (e.g., TrustArc, OneTrust)
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Looker Studio)
- Experience in e-commerce or digital product analytics
