Sr. Security Ops, DevOps, Platform Ops Engineer

🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech | AWS | Kubernetes | PCI DSS v4.0)

, a fast-growing programable payments fintech startup building secure, scalable financial systems—and we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help us design, operate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure from the ground up.

🔧 What you’ll work on

• Architecting and managing production-grade infrastructure on AWS (Azure is a plus)

• Building and scaling Kubernetes environments for mission-critical services

• Designing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines

• Driving observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) and defining SLIs/SLOs

• Leading incident response, root cause analysis, and system reliability improvements

• Embedding PCI DSS v4.0 compliance into infrastructure and workflows

• Implementing security best practices (IAM, RBAC, secrets management, encryption)

• Owning cost optimization initiatives to reduce and control cloud spend

• Improving performance and efficiency across infrastructure and applications

💡 What we’re looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (must-have)

• Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production

• Proven experience in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering roles

• Experience working in regulated environments (PCI DSS or similar)

• Strong background in observability, automation, and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)

• A mindset focused on ownership, performance, security, and cost efficiency

🌱 Nice to have

• Experience with Azure

• Fintech or payments industry experience

• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost management practices

• Experience with service mesh or policy-as-code tools

• Location: Remote or Hybrid (Kansas City) — onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays, with flexibility
