Summary

Job Title: Systems Administrator (Advanced)

Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite - 5 days/week)

Duration: 2-6 Months Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Advanced) to support enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and mission-critical systems. This role involves administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of both cloud and on-premise environments, with a focus on Microsoft technologies, identity systems, and multi-cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate will work on medium to high complexity systems and contribute to infrastructure modernization and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support enterprise infrastructure, servers, and cloud environments
Administer Windows Server environments (2012-2022)
Monitor system performance, security, and availability
Configure and manage AWS, Azure, and multi-cloud platforms
Support IIS administration and web infrastructure
Manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot system, application, and network issues
Perform system optimization and performance tuning
Implement network policies, firewalls, and security controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Recommend infrastructure improvements and upgrades
Support middleware, API management, and automation tools
Provide technical guidance to developers and IT teams
Maintain documentation and automate administrative processes

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
OR equivalent professional experience

Experience:

5-8 years in Information Systems / Systems Engineering
3-5 years in infrastructure, networking, or system administration
Hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
- IIS Administration
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NTFS, file sharing)
- AWS cloud services (required)
Experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred)
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms (nice to have)
Experience supporting middleware and API tools

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services
Experience with Microsoft 365 and enterprise environments
Knowledge of Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu)
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
DevOps tools, especially Azure DevOps
System monitoring, performance tuning, and security best practices
Automation and scripting experience
