Title: Cloud Systems Administrator (Azure/AWS) (On-site)
Location: Tallahassee, FL || Duration: Long-Term
Required Skills and Experience
* 2-3 years experience with: Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
* 2-3 years IIS Administration.
* 2-3 years of network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
* 2-3 years of strong professional experience in AWS cloud systems is required.
* 3-5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
* 5-8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.
Primary Responsibilities
* Support and expand the client infrastructure.
* Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties (SDC, the client, and contractors).
* Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
* Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
* Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
* Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
* Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
* Find opportunities to refactor solutions to obtain better performance, cost, and efficiency.
* Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
* Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
* Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
* Understand, deploy, and manage AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or other cloud services.
* Supports other IT staff, including developers.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education
* Bachelors Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
