Data Scientist Technical Requirement

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support both traditional analytical work and AI/ML product initiatives within a healthcare data environment. This individual will be embedded on a team that values strong data fundamentals alongside applied modeling experience. Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and maintain forecasting models to support business and product decisions
Analyze complex healthcare datasets, including patient-level and commercial data
Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to understand data sources, pipelines, and lineage
Contribute to AI/ML product work alongside traditional statistical analysis
Contribute data science support to REJOYN, an internal product development initiative at Otsuka, working alongside product and engineering teams to advance its analytical capabilities
Required Technical Skills Python primary coding language; proficiency in pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and relevant modeling libraries expected
Forecasting hands-on experience building time-series or demand forecasting models
Healthcare data familiarity with healthcare datasets (claims, clinical, commercial, or similar)
Data fluency ability to trace data from source systems, assess quality, and understand how upstream decisions affect downstream outputs
Technology Environment Data Platform: Snowflake
AI Tooling: Google AI Suite
BI / Visualization: Looker (to be confirmed)
Nice to Have Experience with AI/ML product development in addition to traditional data science
Familiarity with pharmaceutical or biotech commercial data environments
Experience working within a Snowflake data platform environment
Work Schedule & Location Fully remote
Candidate must be available and working no later than 12:00 PM Mountain Time and maintain standard business hours from that point forward
