Role OverviewWe are seeking a talented UX Motion/Visual Designer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting engaging motion design and visual experiences that elevate the usability and delight of our AR/VR products. You will collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and researchers to bring innovative ideas to life and set new standards for immersive interaction.
About the TeamOur client in the wearables devices industry is focused on building the next generation of AR/VR display experiences. We are a multidisciplinary group of designers, engineers, and researchers working to create seamless, intuitive, and visually stunning user interfaces for wearables products.
Responsibilities- Design and prototype motion graphics, transitions, and micro-interactions for AR/VR interfaces.
- Develop visual systems and design language that enhance clarity, usability, and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement motion/visual design best practices.
- Translate complex concepts into intuitive, accessible, and delightful user experiences.
- Present and communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in motion design, AR/VR, and visual storytelling.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Design, Animation, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in motion design, visual design, or UX/UI for digital products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics, UI animations, and visual design work.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., After Effects, Figma, Principle, Lottie, etc.).
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with engineers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Metas design principles and product ecosystem preferred
- Bonus skills: Experience with 3D tools e.g. Unity wearable products or AI/ML modeling for wearables
Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred Qualifications- Experience designing for AR/VR, wearables, or spatial computing platforms.
- Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, or other real-time 3D engines.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $105.00 - $110.00/hr.
