As an Audio Experiences Prototyper on the Audio Research team at Reality Labs, you'll
work with world-class scientists, designers, and engineers developing breakthrough
technologies necessary for augmented, mixed, and virtual reality, personalized
contextual AI, and much more. You will develop audio experiences for a variety of form
factor devices (both current and advanced prototypes) that demonstrate and help us
assess the full potential of spatial audio rendering, scene understanding, and audio
digital signal processing using future-state research technology. Your work will span
multiple extended realities domains, both for audio-forward/audio-exclusive experiences
and as part of larger multi-sensory and multi-modal experiences, which are used in user
research studies, technology demos, and functional prototypes.

Responsibilities
Rapid prototyping of ideas into functional and interactive experiences, which may
bridge software, hardware, human interaction, and firmware capabilities
Collaboration with research scientists to transform experimental hardware,
software, and services into prototype interactive experiences.
Implementation support for audio features within multi-modal experience
development.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative,
ambiguous environment
Proficiency with Unity 3D or Unreal
Proficiency with C#
Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), such as Reaper, Ableton
Live, ProTools, or Logic Pro
Proficiency with Git or similar source control systems for collaborative software
development.
Bachelor degree in computer science, music technology, acoustical engineering,
or a related field
Desired Qualifications
Expert knowledge of Max/MSP
Familiarity with C++ coding
Proficiency with Python
Experience adapting, extending, and connecting existing codebases in novel
ways
Demonstrated basic audio digital signal processing (DSP) experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
