Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Junior Release Train Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Junior Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a strong Scrum Master background who is ready to take the next step into a program-level leadership role. This position is ideal for an experienced Senior Scrum Master who has demonstrated readiness to take on expanded responsibilities, with a strong foundation in Agile practices, team facilitation, and servant leadership. The Junior RTE will support the coordination and execution of Program Increment (PI) Planning activities while helping optimize delivery flow across a complex Agile Release Train (ART) or Solution Train.

Responsibilities:
  • Help ensure planning readiness across teams and stakeholders
  • Support strategic alignment and organizational readiness for PI Planning, including planning scope and business context
  • Ensure leadership and team preparedness for planning events by confirming content readiness and dependencies
  • Manage and coordinate PI Planning logistics, including facilities, remote planning tools, and supporting technologies
  • Assist in optimizing the flow of epics and features, ensuring value delivery across a large and complex Agile Release Train / Solution Train
  • Facilitate Solution Train/ART ceremonies, including planning sessions, sync meetings, and retrospectives
  • Track and manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments impacting delivery
  • Monitor and report the overall health of epic/feature delivery, including progress toward Program Increment objectives
  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership to promote Agile mindset and continuous improvement
  • Help ensure impediments are resolved quickly and protect the ART/Solution Train from disruptions
  • Provide Agile coaching support to teams and stakeholders to improve collaboration, delivery flow, and execution consistency

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in technology, including experience serving as a hands-on Scrum Master
  • Demonstrated success as a Senior Scrum Master and clear readiness to transition into an RTE role
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, team facilitation, and servant leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with Agile coaching and supporting teams through Agile transformation
  • Working knowledge of Lean-Agile SDLC processes, deliverables, and best practices
  • Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and tools
  • Experience educating and influencing leadership across Agile levels (portfolio, program, and team)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly
  • Highly process- and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and timelines
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams toward solutions
  • Self-directed, accountable, and willing to take ownership of deliverables and key timelines

Desired skills:
  • Exposure to Agile Release Train (ART) execution and Program Increment planning support
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and managing delivery dependencies
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support flow optimization
  • Strong facilitation skills and comfort working with technical teams and senior leadership

Pay range: $74.51 - $82.51 per hour
