Description Robert Half is seeking a
Systems Administrator to support a mid-sized IT environment based in Newberg, Oregon. This role is 100% onsite!
This individual will focus primarily on infrastructure administration, server maintenance, and Azure support, while also assisting with escalated help desk issues when needed. This is a mid-level role intended to support the existing team and maintain stability across the environment.
Duration: Short-term contract (W2 only)
Location: Newberg, Oregon
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40-hours weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments
- Support and manage Azure infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop
- Assist with Azure identity administration (Entra / Azure AD)
- Perform server patching, updates, and ongoing system maintenance
- Support infrastructure-related initiatives such as virtual desktop updates and server improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance, availability, and access issues
- Assist with help desk escalations and overflow tickets when needed
- Coordinate with external vendors to triage networking issues
- Maintain system reliability and ensure infrastructure operates efficiently
- Work on assigned infrastructure projects and ongoing maintenance tasks
Requirements - Strong experience administering Windows Server environments
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure
- Experience supporting Entra / Azure AD
- Experience managing virtualized environments
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Hyper-V
- Experience with Veeam backup solutions
- Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop environments
