About the Role:
Client s Data Transformation Group is seeking a hands-on, technically adept Operational Resilience Manager with 5+ years of experience to support the development and execution of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) capabilities across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical insight into infrastructure, applications, and cloud architecture, and will be comfortable engaging stakeholders to deliver real-world recovery solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of BC/DR plans, strategies, and frameworks across critical technology environments.
- Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to assess and strengthen resilience in cloud-native (AWS) and on-prem architectures.
- Assist in recommending and evaluating recovery capabilities from a technology and vendor-neutral standpoint.
- Support the design and testing of recovery solutions using tools like Kubernetes, containers, and automation frameworks.
- Participate in Business Impact Analyses (BIA), risk assessments, and continuity testing exercises.
- Help facilitate tabletop exercises and DR drills, ensuring issues are documented and addressed.
- Translate technical requirements into business-readable documentation for cross-functional and client-facing interactions.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and Application teams to identify gaps in recovery capabilities and propose remediation steps.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 8 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, or related IT Infrastructure/Cloud roles.
- Technical familiarity with:
- Hybrid environments (on-prem & AWS)
- Kubernetes & containers
- Infrastructure and application recovery practices
- Understanding of business continuity principles and technology dependencies.
- Ability to assess and recommend vendor-based recovery capabilities in a technology-agnostic way.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in client-facing settings.
- Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST, or FFIEC.
- Certifications like CBCP, AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate, or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
- Experience in infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation projects.
