Job Title: Varicent Engineer – Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Varicent Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions using the Varicent platform. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on implementing complex compensation models, developing calculation logic, and managing large-scale data integrations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience configuring Varicent ICM systems, building robust calculation engines, and supporting enterprise sales compensation programs. This role involves close collaboration with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate incentive processing across large sales and partner ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, engineer, and configure complex incentive compensation models within Varicent ICM
· Build and maintain calculation workflows, crediting logic, and incentive processing schedules
· Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation processes
· Create and maintain Varicent data models and calculation engines to support compensation programs
· Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to calculation engines and processing cycles
· Implement system enhancements, upgrades, and platform improvements within Varicent
· Support compensation plan changes and ensure scalable system implementation
· Manage environment deployments and migrations across Development, Test, and Production environments
· Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and business teams to translate compensation plans into technical solutions
· Ensure accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and deployment standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Strong hands-on experience with Varicent ICM configuration and engineering
· Expertise in incentive calculation logic, crediting rules, and compensation modeling
· Experience building and optimizing Varicent data models and calculation engines
· Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and data reconciliation
· Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational database concepts
· Experience supporting large-scale sales or partner compensation programs
· Experience managing multiple environments (Dev/Test/Prod) and deployment migrations
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
· Experience supporting global incentive compensation programs
· Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
· Experience performing large-scale Varicent system migrations or upgrades
· Experience with scripting within Varicent or related technologies
