Varicent Business Analyst – Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Varicent Business Analyst with strong expertise in Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) and the Varicent platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience in designing and configuring incentive compensation systems and translating complex compensation plans into scalable system logic.
This role requires a professional who can collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams to design, implement, and optimize incentive compensation solutions. The consultant will be responsible for architecting incentive processing workflows, managing data transformation and reconciliation processes, and supporting reporting and analytics for leadership teams.
The selected candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end design, configuration, and enhancement of Varicent ICM solutions, ensuring accurate commission calculations, efficient data integration, and scalable system architecture.
Experience supporting partner/channel incentive compensation programs, building incentive processing architectures, and working with ETL/ELT pipelines in enterprise environments is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end design and configuration of Varicent ICM solutions
· Architect incentive calculation workflows and define crediting logic for complex compensation plans
· Translate business compensation plans into scalable system logic and technical configurations
· Define and oversee data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation processes
· Work closely with Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements
· Design and develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and analytics
· Manage environment strategies including development, testing, and production environments
· Support migration planning and system enhancements for the Varicent platform
· Partner with Varicent Product and Professional Services teams on platform improvements and roadmap alignment
· Document functional and technical requirements and convert them into scalable system designs
· Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and auditability within compensation calculation processes
Required Qualifications
· Deep hands-on experience with Varicent ICM platform configuration and solution design
· Strong understanding of ICM data models, calculation logic, and crediting rules
· Experience supporting complex partner and channel incentive compensation programs
· Experience designing incentive processing architectures beyond reporting functions
· Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and reconciliation workflows
· Ability to translate compensation plans into technical system configurations
· Proven experience working cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, and IT teams
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting global sales compensation programs
· Prior involvement in Varicent upgrades or large-scale system migrations
· Exposure to Business Intelligence tools or advanced analytics environments
· Experience supporting enterprise-level incentive compensation systems
